New feature, well, attempt... maps

Hi Everyone!

Well, I have been thinking about some new features for this group. I decided to drop rss mainly because if we like a tumblr, we follow it. Furthermore, with nearly 300 users, no post can be in the left column for more than 3 seconds! :)

In exchange, in the last days I've been playing around google maps, to see if we can create a Mapplet with the position of our Tumblrs. This is the address:

The aim is to find tumblr by location of the writer... for networking, general interest on what is going on in that side of the world, meeting up for fish n chips... you tell.

I still have to understand more about collaboration and editing. As well as display setting (it shows Rome's center, it should show all the globe) If you know something more than me, write me a message please!

The map idea is cool, but... I guess I'm more a newbie in this area than you are... HOw can I add myself to the map? I got to logging in with my Google account and seeing the map, but then?

Just added Timedesk. so for now this seems to work. Maybe there are folks working on something like http://twittermap.com/maps but than as a thumbrmaps version.

i think i added myself to your map, denis. it's fairly intuitive to figure out. thanks! hopefully other tumblers will add themselves.
